We are on the scene of an accident where a 20 year old female drove into the path of a pick up. The driver of the dump truck is reportedly fine. The driver of the pick up is being transported to Holland Hospital. The accident remains under investigation.” (sound of phone ringing) “Hello?” “Yes, this is Holland Hospital. Is this the residence of Al and Eileen Yates?” “Yes it is.” “We need you to report to the hospital immediately. Your daughter has been in an accident.” “How ? What happened?” “We need you to report immediately to the hospital.” “We’ll be right there!”

Taken from Holland Sentinel, June 24, 1986. Images above are remains of Chevy S10 pickup.These images are of the S10 pick up at the junk yard, after being collected from the accident scene. It was noted that the dump truck rode over the freshly filled gas tank of the S10. By Divine Design, the gas tank did not ignite from: 1) the sparks of the dump truck scraping over the S10's gas tank or 2) just the combustion experience of the 20 ton weight of the dump truck. Thankfully there was no passenger in the S10 and the driver WAS NOT wearing a seat belt. the seat belt would have restrained the driver, forcing her to suffer the complete impact of the accident. As it was she only suffered head injuries and whip lash. No broken bones were incurred in this accident.
